Iberia Airlines Teams Up With British Airways and Qatar Airways
Iberia Airlines has taken a significant step in expanding its aviation alliance, partnering with British Airways and Qatar Airways, which already constitutes the world’s largest alliance in the aviation industry. As part of this expansion, Iberia will be launching a new flight from Madrid to Doha in December, with further plans for expansion scheduled to begin in the upcoming summer.
The addition of Iberia to this partnership creates an extensive network covering more than 60 countries, facilitating smoother connections between the Middle East and Europe. The three airlines, combined, serve an impressive 200 destinations, making travel to Asia, Australasia, the Middle East, and Africa highly accessible.
All three airlines are known for their luxurious accommodations across their seating sectors, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant flying experience for passengers. Besides highlighting their connectivity, the airlines also emphasize the convenience of flying to various destinations like Korea, Thailand, and Africa.
Iberia’s CEO, Fernando Candela, expressed his enthusiasm about the Madrid-Doha route’s launch, which effectively creates a bridge between Spain and the vast array of destinations served by the alliance. This development opens up new opportunities for travelers in both directions, aligning with Spain’s vision of promoting higher-quality tourism.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, emphasized that this collaborative effort aims to offer passengers an unparalleled level of connectivity across the British Airways, Iberia, and Qatar Airways networks. The commitment to continuously improve passenger offerings underscores the dedication to providing the best travel experience in the industry.
